A Guide to Royal Tunbridge Wells

The Miniguide is a useful little guide about the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding Wealden countryside. There is a map of the wider area including notes on why the town is here at all, major attractions and other amazing things to do.

The Heritage Walking Trail Leaflet outlines a lovely walk taking in the historic buildings and events of the town. We think you’ll be delighted with this story of our history from over 400 years ago.

Download a Guided Walking Group Tour leaflet which describes the town tour for groups and gives booking details.

Explore the countryside and more

The guide to some of the unique churches in the area is called On the Wealden Church Trail.  It provides an enlightening tour of the historic and artistic ecclesiastical architecture in the region. It’s a great way to explore the rolling hills and downland as well as exquisite English villages at their quaintest!

Discover Cranbook 2016 is a newly published brochure about the thriving, historic town of Cranbrook. The Visit Cranbrook & Beyond guide has more information about this medieval market town and the nearby pretty villages, a must for a Wealden driving tour.  The Visit Cranbrook leaflet has further details about the bustling shops, events and a heritage trail which can be undertaken on foot.

Rambling Guides

These are two excellent walking guides for the Commons near Royal Tunbridge Wells. The Commons are jewels in the Royal town’s crown along with the parks, we are very lucky to have a green urban landscape.

There is the Tunbridge Wells Common Walking Trail and the Rusthall Common Walking Trail.  These brochures provide a map and a little information about what you might see on your rambles.
