The Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk

The TW Circular Walk is 27.5 miles long and as you’d expect circles the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. There are 4 leaflets which provide you with a map and fascinating facts for 4 different sections of the walk. These sections all start and finish in the centre of the town, hence the sum of the 4 walks is longer than 27.5 miles. The shorter routes vary in length as shown below.

If you discount the routes going through the town (the spokes) and join up the outlying routes of the individual sections, this makes up the TW Circular in its entirety.  You can also obtain hard copies of these guides from the Tourist Information Centre.

Explore the countryside and more

  • The guide to some of the unique churches in the area is called On the Wealden Church Trail.  It provides an enlightening tour of the historic and artistic ecclesiastical architecture in the region. It’s a great way to explore the rolling hills and downland as well as exquisite English villages at their quaintest!

Rambling Guides

These are two excellent walking guides for the Commons near Royal Tunbridge Wells. The Commons are jewels in the Royal town’s crown along with the parks, we are very lucky to have a green urban landscape.  There is the Tunbridge Wells Common Walking Trail and the Rusthall Common Walking Trail. These brochures provide a map and a little information about what you might see on your rambles.
