Tunbridge Wells Car Parks

There are lots of car parks in Royal Tunbridge Wells and beyond in the countryside for walks, gardens and castles.

For visiting the historic part of Royal Tunbridge Wells, The Pantiles, the Tourist Information Centre and other things to do like guided walks, the nearest car parks are Linden Park Road or Union House. There is easy access to the Spa Valley Railway from here too.

Easy Parking for Shopping

For boutique and unique designer labels in the High Street of Royal Tunbridge Wells, head to car parks at Great Hall (at the top end of the High Street), Union House and Little Mount Sion which are at the bottom end.

Torrington Car Park is handy for High Street shopping as well but also for the Tunbridge Wells Common.

Top Brand Names In One Area

Shoppers with a hankering for large brand names should head for Meadow Road, Royal Victoria Place or Crescent Road Car Parks at the ‘top end’ of town.

Royal Victoria Place is the covered shopping centre, and Meadow Road Car Park is also nearby for easy access to the pedestrianised area of Calverley Road and the galleried Monson Road.

Beech Street and Camden Road Car Parks both serve the eclectic shopper for Camden Road.

Great Hall Car Park is between the ‘top’ of town and the High Street and is adjacent to Calverley Grounds. Great Hall Arcade is a small shopping mall in an intriguingly attractive historic building.

Extra Evening & Weekend Parking

Royal Tunbridge Wells is extremely lively during evenings and weekends, there is always a variety of events going on.

Crescent Road Car Park is very convenient for the Theatres and Museum & Art Gallery at the 'top' of the town and is open all week.

Also convenient the Town Hall Yard Car Park is round the back of the Town Hall and Assembly Hall Theatre although only open at evenings and weekends.

Mount Pleasant Avenue is another useful car park for weekends only as it is near the Theatres as well as the shops and restaurants on Mount Pleasant Road.

Calverley Grounds are right next door to it too.

Stress-Free Parking

Generally speaking, day charges are from 8am to 6pm on Monday to Saturday (10-5pm on Sunday) and overnight parking is only £1.  This applies to most Tunbridge Wells car parks but the Council Car Park web pages can give you the specific details.

Here you will find a detailed breakdown of very useful information like exact addresses for satnav, the number of bays, prices and opening hours.

The quaint historic villages of Brenchley, Cranbrook, Goudhurst and Hawkhurst all have their own car parks so there’s nothing to stop you stopping off!
